50 thousand visitors for the Festival of sand figures in Burgas

More than 70 thousand leva is the income from the Festival of sand figures by the end of last week, and the registered visitors are over 50 thousand, announces the director of the “Summer theatre, festivals and concerts” department of the municipality of Burgas Mihail Kutsev.

This was revealed only a day before the so-called open doors of the festival begin. Between September 15th and 22nd, the entry is free. After that, the exhibition is over.

This year’s theme of the festival is “Fantasy heroes”. The sculptures were 28, including Jabba the Hutt, Shrek, Romeo and Juliet, Manny and Diego from “Ice Age”, the wolf and the three little pigs, Butatino.

This is the second time the festival takes place, and artists from ten countries participated. The disco legends Boney M were the special guests of the exhibition opening.
