Despite the crisis, the interest of German tourists in Bulgaria remains and this year nearly half a million German citizens visited the country, stated the ambassador of Germany Matias Hopfner during his visit in Varna.

The diplomat however admitted that the number of German tourists spending their vacation in Bulgaria has decreased between 7 and 10% compared to last year. He also expressed interest in the development of yacht toruism in the Northern Black Sea coast and the construction of yacht harbors.

The diplomat noted that he is looking for ways to strengthen the economic bonds between the two countries. German companies will most probably be interested in machine and ship construction.
