A Bulgarian at the finals in the World Archery Championship

The Bulgarian archery federation announced that the Bulgarian Yavor Hristov goes to the finals of the European Archery Championship in the city RzeszГіw, Poland.

Today our archer defeated all his four opponents in the competition with the Olympian recurve bow. At the eliminations, Hristov defeated Damien Pijeot (France) and Alan Willes (United Kingdom), at the quarter finals he defeated Damian Simmons (Australia) with 118:117 points, and at the semi-finals he defeated Damian Golly (Poland) with 119:117 points.

At the finals this Sunday at 09:00 AM, Yavor Hristov will face the Polish Rafal Dobrovolski. Both competitors for the golden medal have 119 points in the semi-finals, one point away from the maximum possible result. The maximum result was set as a world record in 1995 by the American Richard Johnson.
