A cross on a cliff impresses visitors of the village Momchilovtsi

A cross on the top of a high cliff is among the main tourist attractions in the village Momchilovtsi near Smolyan.

The mayor of the village Maria Nikova explained, that visitors of the village are usually impressed by the view from the top of the cliff, which reveals the entire village and beyond.

“This locale is called “Dupchen kamak” (the Pierced stone). We’ve built several places for rest for the tourists around it. There isn’t a single tourist that comes in the village and doesn’t climb up the cliff”, states Nikova.

From the top of the cliff, there is a clear view to the Bulgarian border with Greece.
