A rise of over 70% of passengers through the port in Svishtov

Over 29 500 passengers went through the port in Svishtov for 2008, which is a 70% higher number than the passengers in 2007, shows data of the International Port Svishtov.

17 750 of them used the daily ship line between Bulgaria and Romania (from the ports in Svishtov and Zimnich), which started in mid-2007.

For comparison, for the entire 2006 the number of passengers who went through the passenger terminal of the port was 5 000 people, and in 2007 – 17 000 people were registered.

In 2008, 70 international passenger ships with a total of 7 250 passengers dropped anchor at the port of Svishtov.
