A second Bulgarian entered the professional sumo league of Japan, informs the newspaper Standard.

Daniel Ivanov will follow the steps of Kaloyan Mahlyanov-KotoЕЌshЕ«. He also received his “battle” name Aoiyama. Literally translated, this name means “the blue mountain”.

He is known in Bulgaria under the nickname “the Wise”, but from now on he will use his new name both on the battlefield and real life in Japan.

The new name was chosen according to tradition – personally by the trainer of his school, “Tagonoura” – Keita Kushima. The reasons for the new name are unknown.

Daniel Ivanov will share details and impressions after passing through the first three levels of sumo and reaching the category “makushita”. Right now, using computers and phones is forbidden to him.
