Belogradchik – full of tourists

The Bulgarian city Belogradchik is full of tourists. Some citizens bless the mayor for the increasing interest of tourists, and others complain of the increasing noise and the disturbed peace. This was stated in an article of the Macedonian newspaper “Dnevnik”.

The article presents both viewpoints of the city’s citizens. According to some, the tourists are contributing positively to the city, which attains an ever growing popularity. Others claim that their peace is disturbed, that there is an overcrowding during the weekends and that the city is left polluted after the tourist “assault”. The newspaper also notes the much-needed renovation of the region – the construction of new hotels and restaurants, entertainment and new roads. These improvements will vastly improve the citizen’s opinion, states the newspaper.
