Brilliant Nikolay Mihailov saves penalty kick

The Bulgarian goalkeeper Nikolay Mihailov turned out to be the hero for his team Twente on the road to the Champions league. The Bulgarian national player contributed a lot for the 0:0 draw in their guest game with Sporting (Lisbon), even though the Dutch team spent two thirds of the game with one person less.

Mihailov entered the game after the goalkeeper Sander Boshker provoked a red card in the 27th minute. Immediately after that, he saved a penalty kick by the Portuguese star Joao Moutinho. The young player from Levski FC didn’t stop with this accomplishment and his brilliant contributions were felt throughout the game. The strikers of Sporting were helpless against his top form and calm behavior.

This is the third time in the most prestigious European club tournament for the son of the BFS (Bulgarian Football Union) president Borislav Mihailov. The draw in Portugal gives excellent changes to Twente to realize their dream and enter the Champions league.
