“Bulgargas” might sign a direct treaty for shipments from “Gazprom” by the end of May.

Those are the hopes expressed by the boss of the Bulgarian company Dimitar Gogov during a meeting with the parliamentary commission for energetics. He reported the current state of negotiations with the Russian giant during the visit of the Bulgarian president Parvanov in Moscow.

“Even if we don’t sign by May, it will be good to reach some agreements with “Gazprom”, said Gogov. “The same goes to the creation of a collaborative union for the construction of the gas pipe “Southern stream”.

On the topic of the reduction of prices of gas for Europe, Gogov commented that it isn’t “Gazprom” that reduces the price, but the calculation formula. He added, that the prognosis of the minister Petar Dimitrov for a price of 250 dollars per barrel by mid-year are realistic.
