Bulgaria joined the Police convention for Southeast Europe

After the Parliament accepted the law on ratification, Bulgaria became the eighth country which joins the Police cooperation convention for Southeast Europe after Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro.

Everyday crime-fighting will be made a lot easier since specific forms of interaction are provided – common teams for investigation, witness protection, undercover investigation, controlled actions and others.

Bulgaria joined the Convention under to circumstances. We can share classified information only by the terms of additional bilateral contracts. Personal data can be shared only if the Commission for personal data protection has given its permission.
