Bulgaria opens embassy in Kosovo

Within it’s last days of service, the current Bulgarian government decided to turn the diplomatic bureau in the capital of Kosovo – Pristina – into an embassy.

This decision follows the recognition Bulgaria gave to the independence of Kosovo on March 20th 2008, and it includes the establishment of diplomatic relations with the new republic.

With this measure, Bulgaria hopes to improve co-operation with Kosovo, writes the periodical “New Kosova report”.
