Bulgaria – ready for Schengen

Bulgaria is in the final stages of completion of the requirements for entering the Schengen Agreement, which abolishes the border control between EU countries. This was stated today during the second day of the “Diplomacy and media” seminar of the Ministry of foreign relations.

The vice-minister of foreign relations Milen Keremedchiev noted in his speech that Bulgaria has vastly improved the efforts in that direction with the new National visa centre.

“We can calmly and firmly state that this is the newest, most modern national visa centre, which is one of the requirements for membership in the Schengen”, said the vice-minister.
