Bulgaria to aid the financial development of neighbouring countries

The government approved an annex to the Agreement between the Ministry of economics and energetics and the Organization for economical co-operation and development; from now on, it will provide specific financial help in support of the Investment chart of the countries of South-eastern Europe.

The document was signed in late 2008. The membership of Bulgaria in the European Union forced several changes in the politics of the country towards the region as a whole: from a benficient, Bulgaria became the benefactor that supplies aid for the development of nearby countries that are outside the EU.

The financial help provided by the country last year was 50 000 euro. The finances come from the 2008 budget of the Ministry of economics and energetics.
