Burgas will have a new chairman of the Municipality council

The chairman of the Municipality council in Burgas Valery Simeonov (of the political party “Ataka”) announced yesterday that he will leave his post.

The representatives of his party – “Ataka” – in the municipality of Burgas, lead by him, entered a vicious verbal fight with their coalitional partners from GERB during a session of the Municipality council.

Shocked by the vulgar insults that “Ataka” representatives used against the mayor and the councillors of the GERB party, the leaders of the GERB branch in Burgas stated that they will demand the resignation of Valery Simeonov.

Knowing that such a proposal will always be supported by municipality councellors of opposing parties, Valery Simeonov decided to forestall events and resigned without waiting, noting that the reason to do this was the decision of the Municipality council of Burgas to build a complex with a muslim temple in the district “Medni rudnik”.
