CSKA dethrones Levski from the top of the rankings after a scandalous match

CSKA dethroned the team of Levski FC from the top of the rankings after a difficult and debatable victory over Slavia with 2:1 on the stadium “Bulgarska armia” (Bulgarian army).

Slavia scored first, and as early as the twelvth minute. It was the well trained and excellently executed free kick of Deniran Ortega that brought the first goal of the match.

Yordan Todorov scored twice with a penalty kick for the success of his team. First, he scored in the 22nd minute after a much debated infringement. The second penalty kick came in the 77th minute, after Karlos touched the ball with his hand when he was outplayed by Tonev.

Overall, it was a hard game, which in turn took toll on the quality of the play. The guests from Slavia relied on dangerous counterattacks, and the players Dubala and Ortega had numerous opportunities to turn the tide.
