GERB is the statistical leader for the EU elections

The Center for Marketing and Analysis researched the electoral inclinations in Bulgaria. The data comes from a nation-wide inquiry from the period May 29th – June 2nd 2009. The research took place among 1209 adult Bulgarian citizens.

27,1 % of the inquired people answered the question “Which political party would you vote for at the EU parliamentary elections?” with “GERB”. BSP are second with 21,9%, and DPS are third with 18,8%. They are followed by Ataka (10,3%), the Blue Coalition (5,9%) and RZS (2,6%).

The possibility for preferential voting is unfamiliar to most Bulgarians – 57,8%. Most of the people that are familiar with that possibility however, don’t intend to make use of it (24,8%). 28,8% of them stated that they will make a spontaneous decision.
