Gold for Bulgaria on the Astronomy Olympics

One gold, one silver and two bronze medals took the Bulgarian national team on the 13th Astronomy Olympics, which took place in Italy from 13th to 21st October.

The golden medalist is Momchil Molnar, a student from Ruse. The silver medal took Chavdar Dutsov from Sofia and the two bronze medals were for Diana Sofronieva and Kaloyan Genkov.

Leaders of the team were Alexei Stoev – director of the National Observatory and Planetarium – Stara Zagora, and Eva Bojurova – a lecturer in the National Observatory and Planetarium –Varna.
