“Bulgaria can’t cite clause 36 from the Contract of EU integration and demand the restart of the 3rd and 4th reactors of the Nuclear power plant “Kozloduy”, said the minister for European issues Gergana Grancharova during the parliamentary discussion of the re-opening project of the political parties BSP and DPS.

According to Gergana Grancharova, clause 36 gives opportunities for protection, not compensations. “If the reactors could produce gas and we were in the middle of the crisis, I would probably be among the first to support a governmental proposition to the European Commission that cites clause 36”, said Grancharova.
