Grozdeva won the bronze medal during the finals of the World Cup in Bangkok

Maria Grozdeva won the bronze medal during the finals of the World Cup of shooting sports in Bangkok (Thailand) in the discipline she’s best at – 25 metres with a pistol, gathering a total of 787.1 points (581 and 206.1).

The winner was the mongolian with a german passport Munhbaiar Dorisuen with 793.1 points (590 and 203,1), ahead of Stephanie Tirod (France) – 792.5 points (589 and 203.5).

The competitor from Germany has a bronze medal from the Olympean games at Beijing, where she achieved a result of 789.2 points. So far, Munhbaiar had two silver medals from World cup finals, but had never triumphed at a big competiton.

Grozdeva entered with a fourth result in the finals and made incredible final series, but this could only get her third position in the ranking at the end. The bulgarian competitor was able to get ahead with only 1.1 points of one of her greatest rivals at every competition – the serbian Iasna Sekarich, that was left at fourth position with a result of 786.2 points. The Olympic champion in the discipline Yang Cheng did not start at the competition.
