Submitted on Sunday, 29 March 2009No Comment

In 2009, Intersnack Bulgaria will invest twenty million leva in the support of Bulgarian potato and sunflower production. Eighteen million of them will be invested in a chips factory near the city Ihtiman, and the other two – for the encouragement of Bulgarian producers of potatoes and sunflowers.

Several days ago, two farmers from the village Zhivkovo received a 20 000 leva bonus for extra potato production – 1 200 tons from 500 decares, which is 600 tons more than the initial deal.

The two farmers intend to invest their bonuses in the construction of an additional storehouse. It will store their production, and will also be of use to their colleagues. The problem of most potato producers in Bulgaria is the lack of storehouses.
