Levski 1-1 CSKA

The Sofia football derby between Levski and CSKA ended in a 1-1 stalemate for second time in a row on Saturday at Vassil Levski stadium in Bulgaria’s capital.

The draw came after 90 minutes of interesting and tense play, which was part of the 11th round of Bulgaria’s professional league.

Levski had troubles in the first half as CSKA were the more dangerous team.

In the 57th minute CSKA’s back Zdravko Lazarov was fouled in the penalty area and he himself did not fail with the penalty kick.

Just 11 minutes later, Tiberkanin’s distant shot, initially saved by the reds’ goalkeeper Daniel Bekono, helped Levski’s forward Georgi Ivanov get the ball. The attack ended in the net of CSKA.

The result remained unchanged until the end of the match.

After the draw, the red team remains on the top position in A group with 26 points and Levski secured its second place, gathering 20 points so far.
