Literary reading in the ceremoniall hall of the Sofia University

The writer Dimitar Dinev, who lives in Austria, will read excerpts of his works in German and English in the ceremonial hall of the Sofia University “St. Climent Ohridski” today at 18.00, announced the organizers.

“Our hearts don’t speak different languages, they beat in the same manner” is the slogan of the literary evening, organized with the assistance of the Austrian embassy in Sofia.

Dimitar Dinev is born in 1968 in Plovdiv. He graduated from a German school of foreign languages in Pazardzhik. In 1990, he emigrates to Austria, where he works various jobs just to get by – salesman, construction worker, etc.

He later studied philosophy and Russian philology at a university. At first, he wrote in Bulgarian, but because of the difficulties in translation he began writing in German. He participates in literary competitions.

His novel “Angel tongues” turned out to be one of the literary highlights of 2003.
