Meglena Kuneva – “European of the year”

Yesterday in Brussels, the European commissar from Bulgaria Meglena Kuneva was given the award “European of the year”, and the Serbian president Boris Tadic – “National politician of the year”.

According to the readers of the weekly newspaper “European voice”, Tadic deserved the recognition by moving his country forward on their road to the EU, as well as giving the criminal Radovan KaradЕѕiД‡ to the tribunal in the Hague.

In her explaination for the jury’s decision, the editor Dana Spinan said that the European commissar for Consumer Protection – the Bulgarian Meglena Kuneva – “shows that the consumer protection is a great way to popularize the European Union.”
