Over 87 000 tourists visited Belogradchik in 2008

87 341 tourists visited the historical and cultural sights in the municipality of Belogradchik in 2008, announced the director of the History museum in the city Mihail Mihailov.

Of them, the foreigners are 9 543, pointed out Mihailov, cited by the media agency Focus. According to his words, the greatest interest was shown in the fortress of Belogradchik. The place was visited by 46 637 tourists. The cave “Magura” was visited by 36 419, added Mihailov.

In 2007, tourists were a little over 63 thousand. This year, the organized groups are expected as early as April. The bedding base in Belogradchik can host up to 400 people, divided into 20 houses for guests and 5 hotels. Three new hotels are still under construction.
