Co-operation in the field of energetics between Bulgaria and Lithuania and the guarantee of energetics safety was the main accent in the negotiations between the presidents of the two countries – Georgi Parvanov and Valdas Adamkus in Vilnius.

The Bulgarian national radio announced that the president is on a three-day visit in the Baltic state.

The common opinion of both presidents, expressed at their mutual press conference, was that Bulgaria and Lithuania have great opportunities for co-operation in the sphere of energetics – a field where co-operation is of utmost importance.
