Pironkova at the quarterfinals in Athens

The best Bulgarian tennis player Tsvetana Pironkova qualified for the quarterfinals of the ITF tournament in the Greek capital Athens. The grand prize ofthe event is 100 thousand dollars.
The 22 year old Pironkova, 108th in the international rankings, defeated Ekaterina Bichkova from Russia with 6:4, 6:4. Thus, the Bulgarian earned 40 points for the WTA and 2480 dollars.
The next opponent of Pironkova will be the winner from the match between Tamea Bachinski (Switzerland) and the “wild card” participant Eleni Danildu (Greece).
