“The first signs of revival of the economics and the removal of the influence of the crisis are surfacing”, said the minister of economics Petar Dimitrov at the opening of the spring fair in Plovdiv. His prognosis contradicts the usual predictions of Bulgaria reaching the “eye of the storm” of the crisis in the thrid quarter of 2009.

Dimitrov supported his words with an example of the growing statistics in several business branches in March, compared to February. According to those numbers, the construction business resurged with 7.3% and the infrastructure – with 11.9%. The industry production grew with 7.7%. The manufacturing industry grew with 8.6%.

“I hope that the hardest times for Bulgaria and the world are over and that from now on, we’ll be resurging from the crisis”, said Petar Dimitrov.
