Ruse celebrates the Days of European heritage 2009

The Days of European heritage are an initiative by the Council of Europe and the European Commission. They are celebrated in Bulgaria for the eleventh consecutive year. Svishtov is this year’s host of the festival opening.

The schedule of the Days of European heritage includes free visits to all city-related exhibitions of the History museum in Ruse on September 16th. On September 17th, the visits of the Ivanovski monastery and the medieval city Cherven will be free of charge.

On September 18th, entry in the central building of the history museum of Ruse will be free of charge.

The fortress Seksaginta Prista, the house-museum “Zahari Stoyanov” and the house of Calliope can be visited for free on September 19th.

The Pantheon of the heroes of the Bulgarian Revival period and the history museum can be visited for free on September 20th.

On September 21st and 22nd, entry will be free for the city-related exhibitions of the History museum in Ruse, The Pantheon of the heroes of the Bulgarian Revival, the Ivanovski monastery and the medieval city Cherven.
