Sir Alex Fergusan: Berbatov can bring us the title

The manager of Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson believes that the team’s new addition – famous Bulgarian football star Dimitar Berbatov could be what Manchester was missing in order to win the Premier League title, according to publications in the British press.

Despite the difficult task before Ferguson, who now has to decide who to pick among the many football superstars on his team, the manger has no intentions to apologize for Berbatov’s transfer.

“I think that the goal of this game is to win. If I now have a stronger team – and I hope that it is so due to Berbatov’s transfer – the transsfer has been the right move. It does not matter if it gives me a 1% or a 10% improvement. Improvements are what we strive for,” says Ferguson, adding that the good news that both Berbatov and Ronaldo have recovered from their injuries gave him a great choice for the derby against Chelsea.

According to the British press, Sir Alex has not yet made the decision about who was going to play Sunday.

In the mean time, the legendary British football coach Terry Venables gave his colleague, Alex Ferguson advice to leave Berbatov out of the Sunday derby with Chelsea.

According to Venables, for the first time this season Alex Ferguson has all four of his superstar forwards Wayne Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, Carlos Tevez AND Dimitar Berbatov available for selection.

In the article published in the British “Sun,” Venables says that there was no way that all four would appear on the field in such a crucial game.

“I have no doubts that Berbatov will prove to be a sensational signing in time… But when United played with Berbatov and Tevez up front at Liverpool last week and Rooney wide on the right, it simply didn’t work.,” says Venables.

“United know they cannot afford to lose and allow Chelsea to open up a nine-point gap over them. United simply MUST get something from this match, but Chelsea at home are virtually unbeatable,” continues the legendary coach and concludes with a prediction for a home win.
