Sofia will put forward a candidature to host the Winter Olympics for youths. This was discussed during a meeting yesterday by Jacques Roch, president of MOK, and the mayor of Sofia Boiko Borisov.

Sofia ill put forward a candidature for the games that will take place in 2016.

Jacques Roch expressed his satisfaction and “very pleasant impressions” from his visit in the Bulgarian capital. He added that he’s happy with the development of Sofia’s infrastructure.

The mayor Boiko Borisov said, that he assured the guest that he will make everything necessary for the application of the Bulgarian city for the Youth Olympic games.

Borisov added that he will work on implementing a law for hosting Olympic games, similarly to Athens’.
