The austrian company ORS to invest in HDTV in Bulgaria

The board of managers of the Austrian public television ORF approved the investing program worth 80 million euro of it’s filial in Bulgaria, ORS, announces the “Der Standart” newspaper.

ORS has already officially expressed it’s interest to participate in the competition to use the broadcasting spectre of the three national networks. As is already known, the current owners of the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company (BTK) – the american company AIG – intend to sell the bulgarian telecom, but part with their radio, television and wireless signal networks first.

According to the Austrian press, the investment intentions of the ORF were one of the topics of the discussion between the Bulgarian premier Sergey Stanishev and the Austrian chancellor Alfred Guzenbauer yesterday, November 14th, in Sofia.
