The Bulgarian contingent in Kosovo will not be reduced

For now, the Bulgarian contingent in Kosovo will not be reduced, said the minister of defence Nikolai Tsonev, who visited the Bulgarian soldiers in the aforementioned contingent.

“We’ve repeated many times that our participation in the Kosovo mission will continue. For us, Kosovo is a very important region on the Balkans. We are interested in the peace and calm of the Balkan region and will aid these conditions with a Bulgarian contingent”, said Tsonev.

“For the moment, the situation in Kosovo is calm, but there is potential for the development of crime activity. Right now, there is nothing alarming for the safety of the Bulgarian troops”, added the minister.
