The Council of Europe wants the registration of the Macedonian political party

“Bulgaria does not want to accept the existance and separate identity of the five thousand Macedonians living in Bulgaria.” This was the conclusion of the latest report of the Council of Europe, states the Macedonian newspaper “Vest”.

Despite the fact that the reporter Serjii Holovati could not meet the representatives of this group of citizens because of his busy schedule, he notes several instances of violations of the right for peaceful gatherings and the right of union of this group.

The report also mentions that Bulgarian government did not take into consideration the verdict of the European court for human rights which decided that Bulgaria should allow the registration of OMO “Ilinden” – Pirin as a political party.
