The first Museum of tourism opened in Bulgaria

The first Museum of tourism in Bulgaria was opened on September 25th. The building is located in the Xilifor region near Veliko Tarnovo.

Two halls host an exhibition of 350 photographs, displayed on 38 separate panels. Sixteen glass cases protect over 200 artifacts, which include documents and items related to the development of tourism in Veliko Tarnovo.

Documents and photos related to the charity balls of the tourism union “Trapezitsa 1902” are the highlights of the exhibition. The first ball was organized in 1903, and the tradition went on until 1947.

The initiative for the creation of the museum also belongs to the union “Trapezitsa 1902”. They have been working on the restoration of the exhibition for three years.
