The interest of Russian tourists in Bulgaria is growing

In July 2009, Bulgaria has been visited by 75 071 Russian citizens, which is 11,6% more compared to the same month of last year. Russians are the sixth largest group of foreign tourists that visit Bulgaria.

According to data from the Association of tour operators in Russia, the summer season revitalized the demand for holidays abroad.

According to official data from the ministry of culture and tourism of Turkey for July 2009, the country has been visited by 472 395 Russian citizens – keeping the levels of 2008.

At the same time in July 2009, Bulgaria has been visited by 75 071 Russian citizens, which is 11,6% more compared to July 2008. This makes Russian tourists the sixth largest group of foreign visitors in Bulgaria.
