The iron church in Istanbul “travels” to Sofia

On March 2nd, the minister of culture Stefan Danailov will present the miniature model of the Bulgarian church “St. Stefan” in Istanbul in the Cultural house of Krasno selo. This is the latest addition to the exposition “Bulgaria on a palm”.

The direcror Sani Saninski, chairman of the “Alternative theatre educational union”, is the initiator and driving force behind the project.

With the presentation of the model of the unique Iron church on the eve of the National holiday of Bulgaria – March 3rd – the exposition “Bulgaria on a palm” marks the beginning of their new topic – “Bulgaria on a palm – outside the borders of the homeland”.

The creation of the miniature model of the church “St. Stefan” was funded by the United Bulgarian Bank (OBB) – the main sponsor of the project “Bulgaria on a palm”. This is a continuation of the collaboration between the Ministry of culture and the bank, which now lasts for over two years.
