The projects with Bulgaria will sustain the energy safety of Europe

The Russian minister of energy Sergei Shmatko will negotiate with Bulgaria the possibilities for energy projects between the two countries, states an announcement of the press center of the Russian Council of ministers.

On Friday, Shmatko will discuss various issues related to the co-operation between Sofia and Moscow with the Bulgarian minister of economics, energy and tourism Traicho Traikov.

Energy projects like the nuclear power plant “Belene”, the gas pipeline “South stream” and the oil pipeline “Burgas – Alexandroupolis” will be the highlights of the discussion.

According to Shmatko, these projects will ensure the energy safety of Europe.
