The road restrictions in some regions of Bulgaria remain

For now, the restrictions for heavy vehicles in the regions of Kiustendil, Kardzhali and Smolian remain. This was announced by the chief inspector Krasimir Kostov, spokesman of the road police.

There are requirements for the use of tire chains because of the snow and steep slopes of the higher areas of these regions. There are also requirements for the use of tire chains for the heavy and light vehicles and a limitation for trucks with trailers attached.

The road infrastructure in the rest of the country does not have any restrictions, added Kostov. In Western Bulgaria, snowfalls have stopped entirely. Snow continues to fall only in the eastern part of Bulgaria.

According to latest data, the traffic on the Republican road network is normal right now.
