The rock legend Glen Hughes will perform in Kiustendil

The festival “Balkan Rock Zone” will take place between May 8th – 10th on the squre “Velbuzd” in Kiustendil. Bands from four countries – Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia and Romania – will participate in the festival. Concerts will take place every evening between 19:30 and 22:30.

The name “Balkan Rock Zone” is related to the area where the festival takes place – Kiustendil, a city near two borders that signifies the inter-culture relations. The festival is in support of the initiative “Zone 50 without visas”, which proposes that citizens of Serbia and Macedonia can cross the Bulgarian border without visas if they stay within the limit of 50 km from the border.

The culmination of this year’s edition of the festival is the concert of the rock legend Glen Hughes, vocalist and bass guitarist of the legendary British rock band “Deep Purple” and lead vocalist of the band “Black Sabbath” in the 80s of the twentieth century. The rock veteran will perform on the “Velbazd” square on May 10th at 20:00.
