The rocks near Belogradchik will be used as a movie backdrop

Filmmakers from all over the world use the rock formations near Belogradchik as a movie backdrop.

The latest movie shot there is called “Rome”. The price of a single day of shooting is a thousand leva, informs the mayor of Belogradchik Emil Tsankov.

Currently, the famous rock formations have their own miniature model in the exposition “Bulgaria in a palm”. The size of the model is 1,3 x 2,2 metres and is made of real rocks and moss.

The project for the infrastructure and the lights show of the rock formations near Belogradchik will be completed in 2010.

The project will represent the history of the world through the “eyes” of the rock formations, from the birth of human civilization to this day.
