The Shorttrack World cup started in Sofia

The chairwoman of National agency for youth and sports Vesela Lecheva, the general secretary of BOK and rector of the sports university Lachezar Dimitrov and Georgi Martosh (member of the council of the International skating union) were the special guests at the opening of the fifth Shorttrack skating World cup in Sofia.

The countries that participate in the competition with their respective flags were presented at the beginning of the opening.

“It is an honor for us to have Sofia as a host to the Shorttrack World cup. The most important thing is to have an intense contest with fairplay winning at the end. I’m glad that the number of participants is that big, and that we’ll see the Bulgarian star Evgenia Radanova. I wish luck to the contestants”, said Vesela Lecheva.

“I wish luck to all contestants. On behalf of the International skating union I thank the organizers and BOK for this event, and I proclaim it officially opened,” said Martosh at the very start of the World cup. The national anthem of Bulgaria followed his words.
