The summer season begins in May

The summer season traditionally begins in the end of April or early May. The website econ.bg reported that this year, expectations for the beginning of the summer season are at roughly the same period.

There is still no data for the official opening of the summer, said the chairman of the National agency for tourism (DAT) Anelia Krushkova. It is important that the season begins early, both for the arrival of tourists and the tourism offers.

The beds in the seaside resorts are enough for a million customers. Last year, Bulgaria was visited by 8,7 million tourists.

The prices have to be attractive to overcome the financial crisis. The discounts depend on the individual decisions of the companies in the business, says Krushkova. It’s impossible to endlessly reduce prices, and such a decision can have a negative impact.
