Three earthquakes felt in Bulgaria

The European seismology center announced that an earthquake with a magnitude of 3,3 on the Richter scale was registered in Bulgaria.

The earthquake was felt at 13:49 h. in the region of the cities Petrich and Simitli. It had an epicenter 10 km. to the southeast of Berovo and 115 km. to the north of Solun, 8 km. below the surface.

A second, weaker earthquake was felt at 14:22 h. with an epicenter 10 km. to the north of Berovo. It had a magnitude of 2,5 on the Richter scale and was 10 km. below the surface.

At 17:27 h., a third earthquake was registered with a magnitude of 2,7 on the Richter scale. The epicenter was 97 km. to the south of Sofia, 22 km. to the south of Blagoevgrad and 7 km. to the northwest of Kresna, 10 km. below the surface.

There is no data for material damage or injured citizens.

These were the latest of a series of weak earthquakes over the last few weeks. On August 6th, an earhquake with a magnitude of 2,6 on the Richter scale was registered 27 km. to the southeast of Sofia.
