Vesko Topalov receives a star in the Alley of fame

Veselin Topalov became the 16th Bulgarian with his own star in the Alley of fame.

The ceremony took place at the Alley in front of the cinema Arena in the district “Mladost”. According to tradition, the ex-world champion of chess arrived in a white limo “Lincoln”.

The organizers, the company that imports the в„–1 whiskey of Scotland “Famous Grouse”, honoured Topalov with a 24 carat star. The chess master is yet another Bulgarian sports star that receives the award for famous Bulgarians that contribute to science, art, sport or social life.

The ex-national football player Hristo Stoichkov was the first person with a star from Famous Grouse back in 2005. Other awarded people include Dimitar Berbatov, the sisters Maleevi, Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski.
