Vidin decides on university with a referendum

The municipality administration of Vidin will organize a referendum this spring to decide whether there should be a university in the city. This was announced during a press conference by the mayor of Vidin Rumen Vidov.

The referendum will be organized due to the Credential commission’s refusal of the project to open an Euro-swiss technics university in Vidin with the argument that it lacks the support of citizens.

Rumen Videnov assured that the referendum will not require a large financial resource. Volunteers will manage the election stations and sponsors will aid the organization of the referendum.
