LiLana feat. Snoop Dogg & Big Sha – Dime Piece
Lilana, Snoop Dogg and Big Sha collaborated in the creation of a future hit. The combination gets even better, when renown names of the music scene join the project “Dime Piece”.
The music and arrangement is done by Ariel Rodriguez, one of the producers of R. Kelly. A sample of a 90’s Swedish pop hit provides the base for the song.
The lyrics are penned by the Chicago rapper Reggie Ruckus and Snoop Dogg, who added his signature style to the song.
The song was mixed by Slavic Livins, whose works in the past include Beyonce Knowles, Korn, Britney Spears, Akon, T-Pain, Liquid Soul, R.Kelly, Christina Aguilera, Bump J, Cap 1, Dem Frenchize, Boyz, Freeway, Drew Sidora, Jill Scott, etc. The song was recorded in the MG Group studio in Chicago.
The video began it’s rotation in the Bulgarian TV channels on April 24th. It was shot in L.A. by the video director Morocco Vaughn, whose previous works include videos for Kanye West, R. Kelly, Twista and others.
One of the closest friends of Snoop – Dan Magic Juan (known for his appearances in videos of 50 Cent and Puff Daddy) and Coldhard from Crucial Conflict also show up in the video.
Everything began when LiLana met the producer Ariel Rodriguez in London. After hearing her latest single “Sound of Goodbye”, he immediately invited her to work together. Thus LiLana came up with the idea to collaborate with Snoop Dogg.
LiLana also approached the Bulgarian rapper Misho Shamara. The two have been planning a collaboration for very long. LiLana invited Misho to rap in the song, and met an immediate positive response. The two get in touch with Krasi Kurtev from MG Group, who later takes the project management in his hands.
Most of the work on the song was done in Krasi’s studio. In L.A. LiLana, Snoop Dogg and Big Sha (the latest monicker of Misho) add the finishing touches to the song. After that, they shot the video.
The digital premiere of “Dime Piece” in the US will take place in the early June, and the single will be out in September. LiLana will then visit Snoop Dogg’s MTV show on the invitation of the rapper.
