216 tomes of modern Bulgarian literature for Bulgarians in the Western outskirts

For the coming Christmas Eve, the VIK foundation made a gift for the Bulgarian Western outskirts – 216 books. All of the books were in the latest contest of the Bulgarian novel of the year competition, and include the winners of the last five years – “Photo Stoyanovich” by Evgenia Ivanova, “Partien dom” by Georgi Tenev, “The Amazon of Veroe” of Boyan Biolchev, “Staklenata reka” by Emil Andreev and “Ekzekutorat” by Stefan Kisyov.

The donation was made with the help of the literary magazine “Most” (Bridge), which is published in NiЕЎ. The books will be distributed among the libraries of the primary schools in the cities Dimitrovgrad and Bosilegrad, in the city libraries of the two cities, and the “Bratstvo” publishers in NiЕЎ.

The VIK foundation representatives state, that this won’t be the only gesture of this kind. “Our plans for the future are to distribute books of modern Bulgarian authors to different Bulgarian societies around the world. The VIK foundation hopes to help the Bulgarians abroad be acquainted with the latest Bulgarian literature”, explained the director of the Bulgarian side of the foundation Elena Naidenova.
