The minister of national administration and administrative reforms Nikolai Vasilev opened officially the forum “Careers 2009 – a good career, a good life” in Veliko Tarnovo.

For the fifth consecutive year, the University of Veliko Tarnovo hosts the event. “Throughout the years, they have developed a very good tradition in the organizing of the forum “Careers””, said minister Vasilev.

Several hundred employers and 87 500 university students took part throughout the the first seven editions of the event. This year’s event expects a record-setting number of students in all cities. So far, 9500 students have visited Sofia, 5000 – Varna and 100 – Svishtov. Nikolai Vasilev observed the expected slight withdrawing of employers compared to last year. In 2008, Veliko Tarnovo was visited by 36 employers. Now the number is 20, due to the difficult business environment and the economical crisis.
