About 77 000 tourists visited the municipality of Troyan last year. According to museum data, nearly 100 thousand tourists passed through it’s halls, announced the administration. The tourism tax profited the municipality with 42 285 leva, and the categorization tax provided 21 873 leva. The gathered sum is spent, in accordance with the Laws of tourism, only for activities related to tourism.

According to Mariana Troanska – main expert of the “Tourism” department of the municipality of Troyan, there are no issues with the tourism base. The problems come from the lack of qualified personnel in the tourism sphere.
