The international day of people with the Down syndrome is noted in Bulgaria as well.

This Saturday at 10:30 AM, specialists in various fields such as genetics, psychology, speech and language pathology and others that are acquainted with the issues of the Down syndrome, will gather in the spa hotel “Tzarsko selo” in Sofia.

The children with the syndrome will express themselves as artists, leaving colourful marks with their hands onto a huge canvas. The goal is turn it into a collective piece of art – an expression of their desires and abilities.

The Union of parents with children with Down syndrome (DownSyndromeBG.com) – a non-profit organization whose goal is to aid the social integration and personal realization of people (children in particular) with the Down syndrome – are the organizers of the event.
